SWEET
In Barbra’s Wedding, now showing at the Blank’s 2nd Stage Theatre, playwright Daniel Stern (the actor of Home Alone fame) has captured the pathetic ghost of showbiz past and made a funny little play out of it.

BITTER
Clocking in at just more than an hour, the script offers some laughs but not nearly enough satire to make the show memorable — the ending drift takes on the tone of a therapy session.

BITTERSWEET
Though Stern is a clever writer, ingeniously mining the situation for all its comic possibilities, the basic conceit is slight, and the piece remains essentially a sitcom.
