Wow. This ad is unexpectedly moving.
I have to say, when it comes to the seat belt laws, I’m against them for adults. For children, certainly. I’m not against the idea of the law. Of course it’s a good idea to wear a seat belt when you drive. It’s just safer. I just hate that it’s a law. That I HAVE to wear something that affects no one but myself because the State says so. That I will be punished if I don’t. Just don’t like that. It’s the Libertarian in me.
But this ad…Wow. The best filmmaking is truly being done in commercials, isn’t it? Short, simple, provocative storytelling. Check it out. Breathtakingly sublime.

Thank you for posting Colin. Beautifully done video!
As to your comment to seat belts, I feel exactly the same way when people tell grown up cyclists to wear a helmet. Why? It’s not the law to wear a helmet for cyclists aged 18 and over but people feel the need to tell them to wearit for their own protection. Are they telling their motorist friends to wear a seat belt for their protection? It’s the law! Are they telling their friends to get of the phone while driving? It’s the law!
But there is this need by some to lecture cyclists “to protect them” from crazy motorists. Here is an idea: Tell motorists to slow down and be safe around humans. Why? It’s the law to drive safe and responsible.
So, dear drivers, unbuckle your seat belts, slow down and drive safely because there are other users on the road who want to get home to their families as well.
