Was led to this little ditty from Anne Bogart at the SITI Extended Ensemble site, by the ever-reliable Adam Szymkowicz.
It’s an interesting take on our need to consume rather than experience the arts – and how that dove tails with our financial meltdown and general societal malaise.
Begs the question: will we ever again be a nation of producers rather than consumers? And how will that transformation – if it ever occurs – affect the future of American Theatre?
